You know what you can do, instead of buying new shoes? You can take these shoes, that are already sitting, patiently, in your closet (open-toe season is almost here):
And try them on.
And then look at them for a bit, thinking "Hmmm. These would be more flattering without that pesky ankle strap. Stacy London is always saying ankle straps cut you off and break up the line of the leg."
And after looking at the shoe, closely, you decide that you can just cut that ankle strap right off.
And, if you are in an ankle-strap kind of mood, you can still put those on. They just won't be attached to the actual shoe.
